Whenceforth is Leopold Rufus Allen? I am a comedian, writer, and actor living in New York City. As a young man, I found myself living in rural Pennsylvania near two farms. Then Michigan, Philadelphia, Israel, Hoboken, and finally New York City.

I worked at a swimming magazine, an investment bank, as a tour guide on a double-decker bus, other ridiculous places, and wrote things and performed stand-up at night.

Finally there came the greatest day of all... when I became a full-time professional American comedian/comedy writer. Since then I've been on some TV shows and written for some other ones...

I met a young man named Eric Slovin & also did a bunch of things with him, and still do, as Slovin & Allen.

I think it's sad that we live our lives largely governed by fear/ego/poor communication, and that every few million years most of life on earth is obliterated by debris from space, but it's also pretty funny and sometimes there is ice cream!
